Nethercote Bridge Cottage

Nethercote Bridge Cottage is 5 Star rated property by VisitEngland. It is an early 18th century luxury Grade II listed detached Cotswold stone cottage that has recently been renovated with love and attention to every detail while exposing many of the original features such as the original Elm wood floors and staircase.

The cottage occupies a charming and peaceful position off Marshmouth Lane, a no-through lane, just off the village centre and enjoys a good south and westerly aspect is set off a private drive with mature trees and shrubs.

The space

The beautiful stone facade with the fine Cotswold stone mullioned windows dressed with drip moulds under a pitched plain tiled roof.

Internally we have brought back the character by exposing and maintaining the original unique long and wide Elm wood floors on the 1st floor as well as the original elm wood staircase leading to the first floor.

Living/dining room: This is large, warm, calming room with exposed Cotswold large fireplace full of traditional character; this is enhanced by the white painted beams. The room is covered with engineered oak flooring with a bespoke off-white finish. The living room has a large sofa; an elegant beautiful armchair with a weather oak frame and a caned back. Next to the fireplace you will find a smart Samsung TV with a built in satellite tuner.

Dining room

The oval dining table is a French provincial style, with a distressed effect finish, that sits eight. The rooms share a woven, Jute carpet in a oatmeal colour. The walls are decorated in the living room with a set of four framed embroideries of family crest designs. The walls in the dining part of the room are decorated by a set of six botanical prints, depicting tree leaves, framed in distressed black painted wooden frames. The private garden can be viewed from two large windows made from hardwood and toughened glass. There is also a delightful grey effect sidetable crafted from solid oak. Finally in the dining area there is a European school, 19th century oil paining of a mountainous landscape.
The truly luxurious bathrooms and kitchen offer all the modern luxuries.

Bedroom 1: This en-suite bedroom with a king bed. It contains a gorgeous original features with solid elm floor boards and a cupboard painted in an elegant Farrow and Ball colour. A stylish classy and comfortable green armchair Louis XV style and a 19th century Swedish commode with three drawers boasting a distressed look. . There is also a large Samsung TV.
Bedroom 2: This bedroom is on the 1st floor with a king size bed and a large cupboard painted in an elegant Farrow and Ball colour enclosing hanging space above a long drawers.
Bedroom 3: This bedroom is on the second floor two single bed. The room creates an amazing countryside feeling with its exposed original rafters and beams, contains a chest of drawers early 19th century distressed painted.

Riverview Annexe (two en-suite bedrooms)

This is truly unique Oak annexe with tall traditional cotswold pitched roof, exposed oak rafters and beams. Everything inside this annexe has been created with the comfort of guests in mind. Some of the walls are covered on oak, others are in painted in heart warming and calming Farrow and Ball paint. The annexe is heating using a top range underfloor heating system. On the outside top of the range long oak board have been used to clad and create an attractive looking annexe that blends perfectly with the surroundings area.

Bedroom 4: This is an en-suite bedroom with a king bed, a two seat leather sofa, Farrow and Ball painted cupboard.

The shower room is dressed in natural stone with top of the range stylish fitting such as Grohe taps, thick 8 mm shower doors, top of the range ceramics, marble look silestone quartz worktops as well as underfloor heating.

Bedroom 5: This is an en-suite bedroom with a king bed and a single bed. Oak round seating table with two comfortable blue velvet seats that can be used for both and leisure.

There is also a island Silestone quartz worktop breakfast bar which sits five. The kitchen galley contains a Liebherr built in fridge, separate freezer, Bosh dishwasher, kettle and a large toaster.

Duvet covers, sheets and towels

All the duvet covers, sheets and pillow cases are made from Egyptian Cotton with 400 Tread count, satin weave to create luxurious softness, subtle sheen and a silky touch that feels gorgeous against the skin. Moreover, the luxury pima cotton towels are soft and sumptuous with a wide border and bound edge.

We have recently added a top of the range standard size table tennis area at the back garden at an area that was previously not used. Moreover, we have created an al fresco dining area at the back garden the combines great countryside views with privacy.
